Cheeky Treasures Shop

It seems like I start out every featured shop the same way everytime I do this.  Oh well, it's getting the shops noticed (I hope).

Anyway, the shop I decided to feature is named Cheeky Treasures.  Her website is http://www.etsy.com/shop/CheekyTreasures.  She is located in Springfield and has been a member of Etsy since April 12, 2009.  She specializes in Cyanotype.  Now I know what you are thinking.  What is Cyanotype right?  Thought so.  Cyanotype was discovered/invented in the 1800's (1840ish) It was used mostly to make silhouette and to document different types of plant life.  This is quoted by Cheeky Treasures.

It is unlike most photography you don't have to worry about keeping your prints in special backing or paper, because most of those are treated with chemicals to prevent sticking or fading, and those chemicals will actually fade your cyanotype. Also, should your cyanotype start to fade due to sunlight exposure, you can take it put it in the dark for a couple of days and the cyanotype's magical rejuvenation powers will make it look like new! True story says Cheeky Treasures.  Here are some of her items that are in her shop.

The first one is a lake view 4x6 print.  Look how different it is to regular photography.  It is very unique as you can see.

Another is flowerbox heart 5x7.  I just love this photo.

She also does custom work like this Custom Cyanotype 8x10 print.  How cute is this picture.
Check out her shop.  I'm sure she can do any custom work for you.  All you have to do is ask.
